Clay County offers numerous festivals held throughout the year to attend. Some of the more popular festivals are Fall Fest, Chili Cook-off, Homecoming Days, and classic car shows. We are on the route for the annual Roller Coaster Yard Sale [held the first full weekend in October] and the Highway 52 Yard Sale in May. 

Retiring in Clay County still offers the convenience of being close to the big cities. Clay County is within an hour of Cookeville. Bowling Green, Chattanooga, Lexington, Louisville, Knoxville, and Nashville are within two hours of driving distance. All cities host museums, entertainment, restaurants, and amusement parks that are just a short drive away.
